Putting behind the perception of furniture as mere product and setting out to explore it as an indispensable element of future living spaces, İstikbal invites talented designers in Turkey and around the world to contemplate and interpret furniture and objects shaped by our eating habits. Drawing notoriety with a board of expert and famous jury members including Atilla Kuzu, Burak Asiliskender, Cemal Çobanoğlu, Deniz Leblebici Başar, Emine Merdim Yılmaz and Ömür Akkor, the Competition has already brought a different movement to the design world.
Plans are in place to convene the International Design Competition into an annual tradition as a design platform in the coming years with Turkey Design Foundation, as an intellectual partner. The deadline for the Competition, where designers from all over the world can participate at www.furnitur.com, is December 20, 2019. In addition to the prize money, Furni-Tur also offers participants noteworthy prestige and experience.
