Accelerating the Restructuring, Erciyes Anadolu Holding closed 2020 with a Record

Erciyes Anadolu Holding increased its turnover from 11 Billion 218 Million TL in 2019 (January-December) to 13 Billion 628 Million TL in 2020 (January-December) with an increase of 21,5% and its net profit from 999 Million TL to 1 Billion 636 Million TL.

Making a presentation about the restructuring of the holding and the financial results of 2020 at the press conference, Erciyes Anadolu Holding CEO Alpaslan Baki Ertekin said that they began to get the results of the restructuring works with positive figures. Ertekin underlined that Holding accelerated its investments in brand, innovation and digital transformation and energy in 2020.

Ertekin also said: “We have a total of 6 affiliated companies in the list of 500 Major Industrial Enterprises in Turkey. Erciyes Anadolu Holding has continued to grow and provide employment despite the pandemic.” Sharing the financial data for 2019 and 2020, Erciyes Anadolu Holding CEO noted that “Our turnover, which was 11 billion 218 million in 2019, increased by 21,5 percent to 13 billion 628 million TL at the end of 2020, and our net profit increased from 999 million to 1 billion 628 million TL in the same period.”

Ertekin stressed that they continue to increase their activities not only in the area of economy, but also in the field of social responsibility, and especially pay attention to area of education. Ertekin pointed out: “It is our most important to pay our duty of loyalty to the land where we were born. Contributing to our qualified labor force is the most important work we do in this field.”

Making a speech at the meeting, Savings Deposit Insurance Fund President, Muhiddin Gülal said that the companies under the authority of Trustee do not suffer, but rather continue to grow by increasing their profits.

‘Those who trust us have always been and will be the winner from now on’

SDIF President Muhiddin Gülal reminded that Erciyes Anadolu Holding companies had an asset size of 8,4 billion TL in September 2016, when it was transferred to SDIF, and stated that this figure reached 16 billion TL by growing 89 percent as of December 31, 2020. Emphasizing that the holding's total of equity resources increased by 69 percent from 6,4 billion to 11 billion TL, Gülal continued: “The turnover, which was 5,1 billion TL on the date of transfer, increased by 167 percent to 13,6 billion TL at the end of 2020. The net profit, which was TL 574,6 million on the date of transfer, increased by 185 percent to 1,6 billion TL. 12,697 people currently works under the rood of the Holding. By the end of 2020, the number of stores is 1550 with İstikbal, Bellona and Mondihome brands. We definitely think that this is indeed a figure to be proud of. Because in 2020, a difficult year devastated by the pandemic, we opened 31 stores in total. We consider this a very important indicator of trust in our company. I always say that those who trust us have always been and will be the winner from now on. Our goal is to raise the flag we receive even higher, to be worthy of the trust of our nation and our country.”

'Planned investment in energy amounting to 318,3 million USD’

Explaining that Erciyes Anadolu Holding comes to the forefront with its investments in the energy industry along with its successful works with its fields of activity, SDIF President Gülal stated that the current installed power of 250 megawatts will increase to 499 megawatts in total with the new power plants with ongoing investments. Pointing out that the Holding continues to create added value for the economy with investments such as Antalya Akseki SPP, Van Arısu SPP, SİBEL WPP (İzmir) and Ömerli WPP (Istanbul), Gülal noted: “The planned investment amount for these mentioned projects is 318,3 million USD. 260 million USD, corresponding to 81 percent of this amount, was realized in the term of SDIF. In this context, the Holding, energy production of which in 2019 is 590 thousand 919 (MWh), will increase its production by 793 thousand (MWh) with these new investments to 1,3 million megawatts. Van Arısu SPP, one of the largest solar power plants in Turkey, is one of the investments that our group is proud of. We are planning to make the opening in the summer.”
