Prepared by Erciyes Anadolu Holding on July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day, The World's Largest Turkish Flag was unfurled with a ceremony on July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day. Kayseri Governor Şehmus Günaydın, Ak Party Kayseri Deputy Emrah Karayel, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, Erciyes Anadolu Holding Board Member and CEO Alpaslan Baki Ertekin and Erciyes Anadolu Holding managers and employees with the Kayseri protocol attended the ceremony held in Kayseri Kadir Has City Stadium.
Unfurled first at the foot of Erciyes Mountain by Erciyes Anadolu Holding, the Giant Turkish flag is 3 thousand 37.5 square meters and it weighs 418 kilograms. The giant flag, which is the largest Turkish flag in the world, was unfurled by a team of 120 people consisting of Erciyes Anadolu Holding employees and athletes during the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Erciyes Anadolu Holding Board Member and CEO Dr. Alpaslan Baki Ertekin said: “Today, on this day when we commemorate our martyrs and veterans, it has been an honor for us to unfurl our glorious flag on Mount Erciyes, the mountain that has been the name inspiration behind the most powerful group in Kayseri. No matter what size our Red Flag is, it is very delicate, very beautiful. If God shall allow and we live to be here again next year, we should like to unfurl our glorious 7 thousand square meter flag again with all our colleagues and yourselves.”
